NOTES (at Maria Soreau)

1) In the anecdote about the issued document, the notary called her Giertje Jans and now - a year and a half later - the same notary writes her name as Grietje Jans. The girl herself signs one time as Gierti Jans and the other time with Giertie Jans, but both times it is clearly the same handwriting. So we will always call her Giertje in our texts to avoid confusion.

2) See the deed of 10 January 1725 at notary Jan de Vicq junior.
