DISCOVERER?
Who discovered Australia? No one, because people already lived there!
The first European to set foot there was Willem Jansz, the skipper of the yacht Duyfken. This was in 1606.
In 1616, Dirck Hartogh sailed past Australia on the Eendracht and left a post with a tin sign on land.
Willem de Vlamingh mapped the West Coast.
