(3) Remarkably enough, Cornelis de Vlamingh van Vlieland is included in the index of the Ship's Salary Book that was kept on the Geelvinck, but his page (folio 6 between second mate Jan Romein and first boatswain Hans Spliet) seems to have disappeared. (5) As far as we know, no further report has been recorded of this ship's council, but because of the salary increase (and reduction of the previous cook's mate) this incident can be found in the ship's pay books: see het Grootboek en Journaal van de Geelvink (1.04 .02 - 5435, scan 396) in the National Archives in The Hague.
