I have seen Willem Gerritsz's family tree, and there were no clues to family ties in it. Although Willem's eldest daughter Evertje does receive help on May 7, 1735, from the people with the surnames Blok and van Beeck (from whom she bought a house), see the Notarial Archives of the Amsterdam City Archives, archive number 5075, inventory number 9358, deed number 160191..

(2) For example, between the beginning of the baptismal record in 1635 and Willem's birth in 1640, no less than nine witnesses where called Martjen Cornelis at a baptism in the Reformed Church on Vlieland.
